The Red Solstice will be making its way onto Steam Early Access July 10th. If you haven’t heard of it yet, it’s absolutely worth looking into. While I haven’t gotten hands on with it yet I will say that it looks pretty cool and eight player co-op sounds intense. I’ve played Counter-Strike with a team of five people and that can even get hectic sometimes.
The Red Solstice relies on eight players in top down combat to survive on a distant-future Mars after a substantial storm occurs. Guess what the name of it is, The Red Solstice. There are eight different classes each with their own customization equipment. What I’m curious about is if I’ll be able to play alone with some sort of AI. I know personally there are probably a ton of people that wouldn’t mind playing alone and plus now we’re relying on a large community. It’s worth noting that the team behind it, Ironward, had a crowdfunding campaign that nabbed them $60k. So without a doubt there are people keeping an eye on this one.
In the meantime why not check out some gameplay of it below. The build for the video is a bit archaic but we all know by the 10th there will be plenty of footage.
